The scrunchie's outer fabric is made from 91% recycled polyester and 9% spandex.

Recycled polyester (rPET) is produced by recycling existing synthetic materials and processing them into fibers that can be made into new fabric.

The scrunchie is also produced using fabric left over from the manufacturing of other products—a clever way to turn smaller pieces of material into something useful and adorable.
